![]() I had to ask if this is where I was suppose to check in. We decided to take a ride and wanted to watch sunset. Both said they don’t take reservations only take for inside. I called and spoke to 2 people to ask about reservations for outside dining. I rate the casino excellent, despite the cons. They will gladly photograph the person who wins big, but otherwise, no pictures please. In reality, the shared photography online only entices other players to visit a new gaming venue. I laugh to think that they do not want you to show the payouts. 4) Handsome John, head of security: well he is one fine man, but he will ask you to not photograph while in the casino. ![]() But hey, it is a casino and you are lucky to win anything. There are jackpot winners, but for all others, the bonus and line hits will pay low amounts. 3) The majority of wins will pay between 40 - 60 x your line bet. The IT dept at Turning Stone was unable to solve the problem during our visit. The ladies at the cashier were very helpful. We missed out on some humble offering, of a free play or comp points added to the card. It did not give us our offer on one of our visits. We were told, "The Kiosk did not work yesterday". 2) The kiosk promotion does not always operate correctly. Hint: look at the wall to the right as you face the cashier. The cons: 1) The male employee (geez, I think he is the person who manages the venue) in the cashier cage simply states "I don't know" when asked about promotions. In the off season, the Lake House is the action at Sylvan Beach. The Turning Stone Casino did a very nice job creating this smaller casino in a summer tourist haven. The food is excellent, and again, a wonderful staff. 8) The restaurant: there is fine dining and a beautiful restaurant should you want to dine while visiting. Perhaps because the gaming floor is so small, the player is aware of the employees more than in a larger venue. They are very happy and positive when interacting with clientele. 7) Super nice staff: this gaming venue is well staffed, and the employees are very nice. It is elegant and caters to a small crowd during the off season. 5) Variety of slots: considering the small size of this venue, the slots are interesting 6) The small size: it is not located in a steel fab garage-like building. 4) The other patrons / players: nice people, not the (fill in the blank) types you see at other places who ruin the experience for others. 3) The soda and coffee bar: it is a nice touch. ![]() There are numerous employees working to clean and re-clean. Everything: slots, bar, free beverage counter, bathrooms. 2) As gambling venues go, the Lake House is exceptionally clean. From wherever you travel, you will love visiting this community and this casino/restaurant. The pros: 1) It is comfortable and beautiful. Great little gem of a casino behind the restaurant.
